About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers make a meaningful difference in clients’ daily lives and are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to excellent care. The company provides training and treats caregivers with respect. The position is based in Tinley Park, Illinois, and is performed in person. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Always Best Care Chicagoland serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping that clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the care plan.
