About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Darien, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers receive training and support while helping clients with daily activities and following their care plans. The position offers full-time, part-time, and live-in shift availability, with work performed in person.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
• Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in the USA.
• Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including attending appointments and walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Follow each client’s care plan.
