About The Position
Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care to clients in the Brackenridge area. The role is suited to someone who enjoys building meaningful connections, prefers a consistent schedule, and has experience working with intellectually challenged clients. Shifts are on weekdays and start at 8:00 AM.
Requirements
- At least 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- At least 18 years old.
- Negative results from either a 2-Step TB Test or a TB QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test.
- Experience working with intellectually challenged clients.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing and grooming, toileting and incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, outings, or social events.
- Monitor clients’ overall well-being and report concerns.
- Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
