About The Position

TheKey is hiring experienced caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home assistance and companionship to aging adults. The role offers pay rates of $19.50 per hour, with starting rates of $17.50 per hour, and full-time and part-time schedules across all shifts. Caregivers support clients in their homes with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and social activities. TheKey provides caregiver support, paid training, and career development opportunities. Qualified caregivers may often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation, subject to eligibility and screening requirements.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA Registration with the State of California; TheKey can help obtain this upon hire.
Meet state background requirements and screening requirements, including timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification in California.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and grocery shop.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
