About The Position

TheKey is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home support to aging adults. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship, helping support their quality of life and well-being. The role offers flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time opportunities, weekly pay, paid training, caregiver support, and career development opportunities. Pay is listed at up to $22.00 per hour, with starting rates from $18.50 per hour. Qualified caregivers may often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation, subject to eligibility and screening requirements.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration after hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Strong communication skills and dependability.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded for a non-exemptible crime, consistent with applicable law.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and assist with errands and grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
