About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to enhance seniors’ lives by providing one-on-one, non-medical in-home support. Caregivers work individually with clients who wish to age in place, building relationships while providing care with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full- or part-time options are available. The position offers a fast-track hiring process.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Pass a criminal background check, including national and any required state checks.
Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
Be physically able to perform the duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid automobile insurance.
Be able to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA, HHA, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Support daily living tasks, including feeding and medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Provide light housekeeping and cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
