About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to help enhance seniors’ lives by providing one-on-one, non-medical in-home support. Caregivers work with clients who wish to age in place, building relationships while helping improve their quality of life with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time or part-time options are available, and the posting promotes a fast-track hiring process.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Pass a criminal background check, including national and any state-required checks.
Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
Be physically able to perform the job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Be able to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA, HHA, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
