About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to enhance seniors’ lives through one-on-one, non-medical in-home care. Caregivers support clients who wish to age in place, helping with daily activities and providing companionship, while delivering care with empathy, excellence, integrity, dignity, and compassion. Full-time and part-time options are available, and the employer promotes a fast-track hiring process.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Pass a criminal background check, including national and any state-required checks.
Provide proof of a current, negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
Be physically able to perform the position’s duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Be able to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
