About The Position

TheKey is hiring compassionate and dependable caregivers to support seniors at an upscale senior living community in La Jolla, California. Caregivers assist clients one-to-one with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers shifts of 4–6 hours, including weekend opportunities, and the employer welcomes applicants from surrounding San Diego communities who are willing to commute to La Jolla. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Pay is $20–$23 per hour, with possible additional pay for qualifying weekend or shorter shifts and potential longevity bonuses. Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration after hire.
• Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
• TB clearance or chest X-ray.
• Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Applicants must complete timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment; a conditional offer will be rescinded for a non-exemptible conviction, subject to applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
• Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
