About The Position

Fair Oaks Estates is hiring a full-time overnight Caregiver for its assisted living and memory care community in Carmichael, California. The role provides direct resident care during the NOC shift, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, on a repeating four-nights-on, two-days-off rotation. The schedule includes some weekends and holidays, with days off rotating through the week. Schedules are managed through an app, where employees can view rotations in advance, pick up open shifts, swap shifts, and request time off. Caregivers support residents through overnight safety checks, repositioning, call-light response, toileting and incontinence care, and reassurance for residents who wake confused or disoriented. The role requires alert, self-directed work and sound judgment, including recognizing changes or emergencies and escalating them to Med Techs or Care Managers. Medication administration is handled by Med Techs, not caregivers. The position also includes overnight laundry and housekeeping during quiet periods, documentation in Eldermark, and preparing supplies for the morning shift. Paid onsite and online training is provided, including caregiver orientation and Medication Technician training. Scrubs and low-heeled, closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are required and supplied by the employee. The community is locally owned and serves assisted living and memory care residents.
