About The Position

Fair Oaks Estates is hiring a full-time overnight Caregiver for its assisted living and memory care community in Carmichael, California. The NOC shift runs from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM on a repeating rotation of four consecutive nights on and two consecutive days off. The schedule includes some weekends and holidays, and the shift crosses midnight. Caregivers provide direct resident care; medications are handled by Med Techs. The role requires alertness, sound judgment, self-direction, and the ability to respond calmly to residents’ needs and overnight emergencies with less supervision than day shifts. The community serves residents over time, including people with dementia, and emphasizes supporting residents while preserving their independence. The position pays $16.90–$18.00 per hour according to the compensation statement. Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half per California law, and raises are based on performance, experience, and attendance. The schedule is managed through an app that lets employees view upcoming rotations, pick up open shifts, swap shifts, and request time off. Training is paid and takes place on day shift before the employee’s first night. It includes caregiver orientation, floor training, dementia care, safety and emergency topics, and medication technician training with required shadowing and supervised floor time. The role is based at Fair Oaks Estates, an assisted living and memory care community at 8845 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Carmichael, CA 95608. Caregivers report to the Resident Care Director and Resident Care Coordinators. Scrubs and low-heeled, closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are required and supplied by the employee. Personal cell phones are not allowed on the floor. A monthly staff meeting is mandatory.
