About The Position

Caregivers, also referred to as Care Managers, provide loving care to residents and build strong relationships while assisting with activities of daily living. The role works as part of a supportive, caring team in a family-like environment and encourages team members to share creative solutions that improve residents’ lives. The full-time schedule will be discussed at the time of interview at the community.

Requirements

Demonstrate the core values of Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, and Respect.
Hold First Aid certification as required.
Be able to read and write English.
Attend continuing education as required by law and monthly in-service education within the community.
Have knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in providing resident care services.
Understand standard techniques and procedures for providing personal services to residents and caring for equipment and supplies.
Understand basic universal precautions to help prevent infection or contamination.
Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procurement manuals.
Have good communication skills; effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral directions.
Provide resident-care services within the limits of delegated tasks.
Use good judgment in recognizing symptoms that may indicate a change in a resident’s condition.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing and reviewing residents’ care plans in conjunction with other disciplines.
Ensure residents’ privacy, respect, and dignity.
Detect, correct, and report unsafe conditions that may result in harm to a resident.
Support residents’ physical comfort, safety, and mental well-being.
Assist with daily care and treatment tasks, including toileting, grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing, observing food intake, hair and nail care, moving residents between areas, and responding to calls.
