About The Position
TerraBella Senior Living is hiring a Care Giver for its community in Durham, North Carolina. The role provides hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like environment. The listed schedule is full-time, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co-workers.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas.
- Help residents maintain independence while promoting their dignity and physical safety.
- Participate in and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating, as instructed.
- Engage residents in life skills and other life-enrichment activities.
