About The Position

Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide in-home care to seniors in Ashfield, Massachusetts, and surrounding communities. The position is open to experienced PCAs, HHAs, CNAs, and homemakers, as well as people interested in starting a caregiving career. Free training is available to qualified applicants who do not yet have HHA or CNA certification. Caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes by providing personal care, companionship, household assistance, meal preparation, errands, medication reminders, and other support. The employer offers flexible and consistent scheduling opportunities, including 8- to 12-hour shifts, day and overnight shifts, and weekday and weekend opportunities. Pay is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications. Qualified new caregivers may earn a $250 sign-on bonus after completing their first 90 days. To qualify, caregivers must work at least 20 hours per week and have no unexcused absences during their first 90 days. Walk-in applications are welcome at the Amherst office Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; no appointment is necessary. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care.
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
Prepare meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
Run essential errands and grocery shop.
Provide medication reminders.
Observe clients and report changes to the appropriate supervisor.
Help clients maintain a safe and comfortable home.
Provide respectful, dependable, and compassionate care.
