About The Position

Family Best Care is hiring a reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregiver for an ongoing in-home care assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. The position has a guaranteed Saturday schedule of 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling six scheduled hours per week. Additional weekday shifts from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM may be offered Monday through Friday as needed, but they are not guaranteed. Applicants must be available and committed to the ongoing Saturday schedule; flexibility to accept additional weekday shifts is preferred.

The caregiver will provide individualized one-on-one support in the client’s home, follow the established care plan, document services, and communicate updates and concerns to the office. The role calls for consistent attendance, reliability, professionalism, and respect for the client’s preferences and routines.

Pay is $22.00–$26.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate when applicable, and company-recognized holiday pay is provided when applicable. Health insurance is available to caregivers who consistently work 35 or more hours per week, subject to eligibility. Family Best Care also offers opportunities to accept additional shifts when available and support from a responsive office team.

Requirements

• Active Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) certification or Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC/CNA) credential.
• Current TB test or screening.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Washington State Food Worker Card.
• Valid government-issued photo identification.
• Reliable transportation to and from the client’s home in Aberdeen, Washington.
• Reliable phone access for work-related communication.
• Availability and commitment to consistently work Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Strong communication skills, dependability, and a professional approach to caregiving.
• Ability to complete required onboarding documentation if selected.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized care in the client’s home.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as outlined in the care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration.
• Provide medication reminders within the caregiver’s authorized scope.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry, and maintain a clean, comfortable home environment.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention as appropriate.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful client engagement.
• Follow the established care plan and accurately document services provided.
• Promptly communicate client updates, concerns, and scheduling needs to the office.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and respect for the client’s preferences and routines.
