Couples Caregiver – Day and Evening Shifts
About The Position
CareOne Senior Care is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers for an ongoing in-home care assignment supporting a couple in Waterford, Michigan. The role provides personalized, one-on-one support in the clients’ home, helping them maintain their daily routines, comfort, safety, and independence. Recurring five-hour shifts are available Monday through Sunday: day shifts from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The schedule depends on caregiver availability and scheduling needs. Reliable transportation is required to pick up meals for the clients. The position pays up to $22.50 per hour, and the employer offers training and ongoing support. CareOne Senior Care provides in-home support to seniors, adults, and families throughout Southeast Michigan.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation to and from the client's home.
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance and registration for assignments involving driving.
- Access to a working cell phone.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow care instructions and company policies.
- Ability to successfully complete the required background screening.
- Current TB test or willingness to obtain one before employment begins.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
- Experience with personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, or caring for couples is a plus.
- Availability to consistently work recurring shifts throughout the week.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and friendly conversation.
- Assist with meal preparation and other meal-related needs.
- Pick up lunch and dinner for the clients.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and incontinence care, as needed.
- Support safe mobility and transfers according to the care plan.
- Provide reminders and assistance with daily routines.
- Follow the clients’ individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe home environment.
- Communicate important updates to the office and care team.
- Complete required shift documentation.
