About The Position

Parkside Senior Living is seeking a part-time third-shift Caregiver who may grow into a Medication Aide role. The Caregiver supports residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The role encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.

Requirements

• Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude by being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Display personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Demonstrate consistent work attendance as scheduled and address work-related problems with the proper individuals.
• Have communication skills that include careful listening, sensitivity to others’ thoughts and feelings, thoughtful responses, and timely, accurate reporting to appropriate people.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Present with a neat, clean appearance.
• Meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourage resident independence, support resident choice, and preserve resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
• Communicate carefully and report information accurately and promptly to appropriate people.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Participate in designated facility in-services.
• Help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
• Complete work with personal initiative and without constant supervision.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and attend work as scheduled.
