About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home support for a client in Dyer, IN. This opportunity may be a great fit for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, Home Care Aides, Personal Care Assistants, Direct Care Workers, and Private Duty Caregivers who are looking for consistent part-time hours. We are currently hiring for coverage 7 days a week. Applicants may be available for morning shifts, evening shifts, or both. Applicants do not need to be available all 7 days. Requirements

Previous caregiving experience in home care, private duty care, assisted living, senior care, direct care, or a similar setting.
High school diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to successfully complete a required national background screening.
Current TB documentation and CPR certification required.
Dependable, professional, compassionate, and able to follow an individualized care plan.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of caregiving experience preferred.
Experience as a CNA, HHA, PCA, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar caregiving role is welcome.
Hoyer lift experience is strongly preferred.
CNA or HHA certification is not required for this position.

Responsibilities

Assist with Hoyer lift transfers and mobility needs.
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and assistance with eating as needed.
Provide medication reminders.
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes related to the client’s care.
Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or needs.
