About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide dedicated in-home support for a female client located in Porter, IN. If you are passionate about one-on-one patient care and want to work with a highly supportive team, we’d love to meet you! This is a part-time/PRN position with consistent, daily shifts to ensure complete coverage 7 days a week. The daily shift is from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (3 hours daily).

Requirements

Demonstrated experience with Hoyer lift transfers is strictly required.
High school diploma or GED.
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
Must pass a national background check and a TB test.
CPR certification.
Dependable, professional, and empathetic demeanor.

Nice To Haves

2+ year of experience in home care or a similar caregiving role preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely perform Hoyer lift transfers and support mobility adjustments.
Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and preparing lunch.
Maintain a clean and safe home environment (light housekeeping, laundry, dishes).
Provide dedicated companionship and social engagement.
Provide timely medication reminders.
Observe, document, and report any changes in the client’s condition.
