About The Position
Almost Family is seeking compassionate, driven caregivers in Bend to provide personal care and companionship to seniors in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily routines, help maintain safe and comfortable living spaces, and assist clients in staying connected to their communities. The role pays $20–$22 per hour, with pay issued biweekly. Benefits begin at 20 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to transfer clients weighing up to 50 pounds and bend, kneel, twist, push, and pull without restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Ideally, one year of experience caring for seniors or people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and preparing meals.
- Monitor clients’ well-being, document progress, and prioritize their health needs.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and organized living space for clients.
- Follow health and safety policies and regulations.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Safely escort and transport clients to medical appointments and errands.
