Caregiver- 12 hour shifts
About The Position
Mom's Home Care is hiring experienced caregivers to provide 24/7 in-home care for a woman in her early 80s with some memory impairment in Brentwood (West Los Angeles). Care is scheduled in 12-hour day and overnight shifts: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.; all shifts are currently available. The client needs full hands-on personal care, including bathing, toileting, and changing briefs, and spends much of her time resting in bed. Weekday day-shift caregivers must drive her to treatment appointments Monday through Friday and need a reliable car, valid driver's license, and insurance. Caregivers support senior clients with daily activities and help them live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The role calls for dependable, honest, patient, and calm people who communicate clearly, arrive on time, provide updates, and work well with a team. Mom's Home Care offers 24/7 supervisor support, ongoing training, feedback, and caregiver appreciation bonuses and other surprises throughout the year.
Requirements
- Two years of previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, calmness under pressure, dependability, honesty, kindness, and punctuality.
- For weekday day shifts, a reliable car, valid driver's license, and insurance to drive the client to treatment appointments Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
- Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, toileting, and changing briefs.
- Monitor vital signs as needed to help ensure clients' health and safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate clearly, provide updates, arrive on time, and work smoothly with the care team.
