Part Time Caregiver (PM)
About The Position
Silverado St. Charles is hiring a part-time Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role combines empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to help residents experience dignity, safety, and joy. The Caregiver assists with daily living activities, builds relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, and supports residents in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. The role also maintains accurate care records and reports changes to the nursing team. The schedule is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working around animals and pets.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
- Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
- Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
