About The Position

Visiting Angels Paris is seeking compassionate caregivers to support senior adults and others in need in Greenville and surrounding communities. The role provides companionship and a range of in-home support, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts are offered.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time-management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
