About The Position

Thrive Support Services, Inc. is hiring full-time and part-time Caregivers / Personal Attendants to provide compassionate care and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role supports clients’ independence by helping with daily living activities and community outings. Immediate client needs are available in Pleasant Hill and Concord, California, and throughout Contra Costa County.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as a caregiver or in-home aide; experience with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
High level of accountability and dependability.
Ability to provide hands-on care and support, including bathing, dressing, changing briefs, and assisting with medication.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid California driver license.
Access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to pass DOJ fingerprinting and a criminal background check.
Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
Ability to obtain a TB test result.
Valid auto insurance with $100,000–$300,000 bodily injury liability coverage.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities.
Plan and prepare meals.
Assist with medication administration.
Support clients during community outings.
Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing and changing briefs.
