About The Position

Thrive Support Services, Inc. is hiring Caregivers / Personal Attendants to provide compassionate care and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role supports clients’ daily living activities and promotes empowerment and independence. Positions are available full-time and part-time in Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Contra Costa County, with immediate client needs and an ASAP start. Pay is $19–$24 per hour. A $600 hiring bonus is paid in two installments: $200 after the first full week working with clients and $400 after completing 90 days. Benefits are available at all work levels and may vary based on job level and position; the posting describes a full benefits package valued at up to $12,000.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working as a caregiver or in-home aide; experience with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• High level of accountability and dependability.
• Ability to provide hands-on care and support, including bathing, dressing, changing depends, and assisting with medication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass DOJ fingerprinting and a criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to obtain a TB test result.
• Valid auto insurance with $100,000–$300,000 bodily injury liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including dressing and grooming.
• Support meal planning and preparation.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Support clients during community outings.

• Help clients develop independence and participate in their chosen homes and communities.
