About The Position

The Homestead at Montrose, a community of Volunteers of America National Services, is hiring a PRN caregiver/CNA/PCA with QMAP in Montrose, Colorado. The role provides routine daily nursing care to assigned clients in accordance with established agency procedures and supervisor direction, and reports observed changes in clients. The position is based in a welcoming independent and assisted living community. Hourly pay is $17.00 without QMAP while certification is being obtained, if the applicant meets CNA or PCA requirements. With QMAP, pay is $19.80–$24.08 per hour for CNAs or $18.73–$23.01 per hour for PCAs, based on work experience. The Homestead can provide QMAP certification after hire. PRN shifts are 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m.; workdays vary and include weekends.

Requirements

QMAP certification is required; it can be obtained through VOANS after hire.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a home health agency or health care facility is strongly preferred.
CNA or PCA qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide assigned clients with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established agency procedures and supervisor direction.
Report changes observed in clients.
Assist clients with personal care activities.
Assist clients with ambulation, transfers, and exercise.
Perform household services essential to health care at home.
Document care provided and pertinent observations accurately.
Perform delegated medical or nursing procedures and assigned therapy procedures as necessary.
