About The Position
Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty. This role is at a licensed personal care community with accommodations for 29 individuals needing more support with activities of daily living. Located near the Benbrook Medical Center Complex in Butler, PA. It offers a comfortable and home-like environment with a person-centered approach to care. The position enhances the abundant life of residents by providing assistance through performance of routine direct and indirect resident activities according to established policies and procedures. It also involves maintaining resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality, and promoting resident acceptance of support plans and responding promptly to overall resident needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) as per regulation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of state medication approved administration course.
- Successful completion of direct care programs.
- Basic knowledge of computers required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with service for elders is preferred.
- CPR/First Aide or successful completion after hire.
Responsibilities
