About The Position

Lewisville Estates Senior Living Community is seeking full-time Caregivers and Med Techs to care for residents under the direction and supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Both roles are available on first shift (6:00 am to 2:00 pm), second shift (2:00 pm to 10:00 pm), and third shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am). The Med Tech is responsible for supervising self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with federal and state regulations, as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director. Care duties include supporting residents with daily living activities and mobility, monitoring and recording health measures, reporting changes in condition, and providing emotional and social support. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience as a caregiver.
Previous experience as a Med Tech.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a senior living community.
Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with federal and state regulations, as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Assist some residents with ambulation and transferring.
Take and record vital signs.
Measure and record height and weight.
Calculate and record fluid intake and output.
Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
