Caregiver / Med Tech (PRN)
About The Position
Lewisville Estates Senior Living Community is seeking PRN Caregivers and Med Techs to care for residents under the direction and supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Available shifts for both roles are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The role includes supporting residents with daily living activities and providing medication supervision and other care in accordance with applicable regulations and direction from supervisors. Team members provide residents with emotional and social support and report abnormal changes in residents’ body functioning to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver.
- Previous experience as a med tech.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a senior living community.
- Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with federal and state regulations, as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist some residents with ambulation and transferring.
- Take and record vital signs.
- Measure and record height and weight.
- Calculate and record fluid intake and output.
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
