About The Position

The Caregiver/CNA provides kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents, with a focus on Memory Care. The role assists residents with activities of daily living and restorative interventions to promote independence, and participates in or leads individual and group activities. Other duties include serving residents at mealtimes, assisting with Memory Care laundry and basic housekeeping, and responding promptly to resident, family, and employee concerns.

Requirements

Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Have basic computer skills and proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Be compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Be able to solve practical problems and handle variables in situations with limited standardization.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
A CNA or CHHA license may be required, depending on the state.

Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participating in activities.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and support to residents.
Assist, encourage, and provide restorative interventions for Memory Care residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
Serve residents during mealtime.
Assist with Memory Care laundry and basic housekeeping within the Memory Care neighborhood.
Respond promptly to resident, family, and employee concerns and follow up to support customer satisfaction.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
