About The Position

BrightStar Care is hiring Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for full- and part-time opportunities in different parts of the Salt Lake Valley. The role provides personal care and other assistance in clients’ homes and facility-based settings, following the patient’s plan of care and directions from a nursing supervisor. Assignments, procedures, and treatments vary, and flexible schedules are available, including weekend and evening opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified CPR.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Licensed driver with their own insured and reliable automobile.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Empathy for the needs of the client.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, and present a positive public image.
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; assistance requirements vary depending on client mobility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and taking vital signs.
• Provide care according to the patient’s plan of care, including feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
