About The Position

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate, dedicated in-home caregiver/CNA to assist clients with daily activities in their homes in and around McLeansboro, Illinois. Caregivers travel to and from clients’ homes. The role offers flexible hours and may suit candidates seeking part-time work. Prior experience is not required.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.
Experience as a caregiver.
CNA, SRNA, or HHA credential, or completion of a CNA program.
Hoyer lift experience, specific to the client.

Responsibilities

Provide personal hygiene assistance, including help with showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
Provide companionship.
Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
Help clients with mobility around the home and outside, including attending appointments, running errands, and taking walks.
Plan and prepare meals.
Assist with physical therapy exercises.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report unusual incidents and respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Assist clients with meals, including serving and related tasks as needed.
Use common-sense principles.
