About the position
The Career Success Coach will play a key role in ensuring the success of Fellows in Correlation One's data training and jobs programs. They will provide professional development coaching support, including resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and salary negotiation guidance. The ideal candidate should have a passion for mission-driven work, exceptional stakeholder outcomes, and strong communication skills. This part-time contract position will involve supporting Fellows during the program and for six months after completion, as well as collaborating with the internal team to develop new career advising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Support Fellow professional development in data training and jobs programs
- Provide resume/cover letter reviews, mock interviews, salary negotiation, and other job-search preparation support
- Track Fellow career outcomes via survey and LinkedIn
- Engage with Fellows on Slack regarding professional development topics
- Proactively identify roadblocks to Fellow progress and create resources and support systems to improve engagement and experience
- Communicate insights and metrics on Fellow success back to Correlation One
- Collaborate with internal team to assess and develop new career advising and program engagement strategies
- Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development or coaching, professional counseling, or related program management focused on job seekers
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing trusting relationships and effective guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers
- Familiarity with Google Suite and MS Office Suite, especially Powerpoint and Excel
- Personable and approachable
- Affinity for communication
Requirements
- Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development or coaching, professional counseling, or related program management focused on job seekers
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Outstanding, executive-ready written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing trusting relationships and effective guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers
- Familiarity with Google Suite and MS Office Suite, especially Powerpoint and Excel
- Personable and approachable
- An affinity for communication

- Compensation rate of $33/hr
