About The Position
JEVS Human Services is seeking a Career Navigator for its Philadelphia Independence Network (PIN) team in Collingswood, New Jersey. The role supports youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in making informed choices and transitioning successfully into integrated, competitive employment. The Career Navigator coordinates participants’ Discovery process and helps identify and access internship and employment opportunities, providing support to participants and employers throughout the transition.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the entire Discovery process for assigned participants.
- Work with participants to identify internship and employment opportunities and provide support as needed.
- Onboard participants into internships.
- Train participants on the technical aspects of expectations.
- Train employers regarding individuals’ support needs and provide ongoing technical assistance to employers.
- Participate in recruiting participants.
- Engage with employers, educate employers and staff, and facilitate resolution of participant challenges.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and feedback when necessary.
- Help identify creative solutions to encourage smooth transitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
