About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents in a memory care community. The role supports residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence, protecting privacy, and respecting dignity. Care Partners work as part of a team to help create a supportive and nurturing environment.

The position includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing emotional support and companionship, encouraging participation in life-enrichment programs, performing light housekeeping, and communicating with healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current caregiver training or certification per state requirements, such as CNA, GNA, PCA, or DCA, or willingness and ability to obtain it.
• Current First Aid and CPR license, or ability to obtain them.
• At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
• Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
• Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, as needed, while following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Promote residents’ independence and provide emotional support, compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
• Encourage and assist residents to participate in life-enrichment activity programs.
• Perform light housekeeping, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
• Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
