About The Position

The Care Partner works in the Assisted Living department at Meadowlark Retirement Village in Sparta, Michigan. Care Partners assist residents with daily living activities, help create meaningful connections and activities, serve meals, and contribute to a safe, welcoming community. The listed schedule is part-time, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., varying Monday through Friday and including every other weekend. Compensation is $17.17–$19.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Plan, lead, support, and participate in meaningful activities.
• Assist with moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Assist with applying prosthetic and supportive devices.
• Prepare and serve breakfast and provide snacks.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Properly and safely store medications received from the pharmacy.
• Keep all areas of the home clean and perform routine housekeeping duties.
• Make beds and change bed linens.
• Launder clothing, linens, and other articles.
• Clean up after lunch and dinner meals.
