About The Position

Mixlab is hiring a Care/Compounding Pharmacist to divide time between remote customer and veterinary support and in-person work at a compounding lab. The role is approximately 40% Care/Remote and 60% Lab, adjusted to business needs. The pharmacist works in person at their home lab an average of three days per week, with remaining days remote on Care. In-person days are scheduled in advance based on lab volume and coverage needs and may vary week to week. Additional in-person coverage may be requested during peak volume, staff absences, or inspections. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. The Care portion involves communicating with veterinarians, veterinary practice staff, and clients by phone, email, and text; receiving and entering prescriptions; answering questions and providing order updates; counseling clients; and processing payments and delivery scheduling. The in-person lab portion involves nonsterile compounding, prescription validation, final medication checks, and supervision of pharmacy technicians. The pharmacist follows applicable procedures and regulatory requirements, maintains quality assurance, and works with internal teams to ensure orders are accurately scheduled and delivered. The position also provides workflow and pharmacy guidance to technicians and associates and subject matter expertise to internal teams.
