About The Position

Mixlab is hiring a Care/Compounding Pharmacist for a hybrid role combining remote customer care with in-person work at a compounding laboratory. The pharmacist will spend approximately 40% of their time supporting veterinarians and pet parents remotely and 60% in the lab, with the split adjusted to business needs. In-person work averages three days per week at the home lab, with days scheduled in advance according to volume and coverage needs. Additional in-person coverage may be requested during peak volume, staff absences, or inspections. The role requires rotating flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The pharmacist will help ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and delivered on time, serving as a link between customer questions, clinical needs, and lab capabilities. In the Care function, the pharmacist communicates with veterinary professionals and clients, receives and enters prescriptions, provides medication counseling and order updates, and manages customer requests. In the lab, the pharmacist compounds and verifies nonsterile medications, supervises technicians, conducts final checks, and supports quality assurance and regulatory compliance. The position also involves coordinating with laboratory, supply chain, logistics, and Care teams; advising internal teams on clinical and workflow questions; guiding technicians and pharmacy associates; and acting on feedback from a supervisor.
