Care Associate - Assisted Living (AL)

About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain a quality of life, dignity, and independence. The role includes supporting residents with medication reminders, personal care, escort services, and social and emotional needs. The Care Associate follows resident schedules established by a supervisor, documents assistance, and reports resident concerns or issues.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
Sufficient English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful disposition.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders and assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living as needed.
Follow the schedule of resident needs established by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Maintain residents’ confidentiality.
