About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life, independence, and dignity. The role also includes providing emotional and social support, documenting assistance, and communicating resident issues or concerns to a supervisor. The listed salary is $19.00 plus bonuses and shift differential. The posting also lists an hourly rate range of $17.50 to $21.00 and compensation of USD 19.50 to USD 21.00 hourly.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
Sufficient proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with the supervisor and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergency situations.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of resident needs set out by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document daily assistance in a log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
