About The Position

The Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life, dignity, and independence. The position includes supporting residents with medication reminders, personal care, escort services, and emotional and social needs; following resident schedules; documenting assistance; and communicating concerns to a supervisor. The role is full-time, with a stated day schedule of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
Sufficient proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with the supervisor and other employees, and respond to and communicate about emergency situations.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs established by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in the daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Maintain residents’ confidentiality.
