About The Position

The Care Associate/CNA provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life, dignity, and independence. The role includes supporting residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other daily needs. The Care Associate/CNA also offers emotional and social support, documents assistance in a daily log, and informs a supervisor of resident issues or concerns. The position requires respecting residents’ confidentiality and following the schedule of needs established by a supervisor.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate about emergency situations.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set out by a supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform a supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
