About The Position

The Cardiovascular Technologist assists physicians in Cardiac Catheterization and Vascular/Radiology Special Procedures. The role provides a safe patient care environment that supports the diagnosis and care of patients experiencing cardiac pathologies. The technologist maintains and operates physiological systems, assists physicians, and performs unit-based activities that contribute to a positive and professional work environment. Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences with current or pending registration, or graduate of an accredited institution of Radiology Technology and registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technology, or graduate of an accredited institution of Respiratory Therapy and a Registered Respiratory Therapist, or completion of an OR Surgical Tech training program or equivalent.
• Eligible for Certification in Invasive Cardiology with RCIS.
• Basic Dysrhythmia Course obtained by the end of the introductory period.
• ARRT, RCIS, or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS required within two months from hire.
