About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all accounting, budgetary, and financial planning activities within the hospital organization. The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle oversight while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting organizational goals. The CFO applies healthcare finance and accounting expertise, analyzes financial data, makes informed recommendations, manages teams, collaborates across departments, and communicates with executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of progressive supervisory experience in a healthcare institution.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, accounting principles, and reimbursement systems.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
• Effective team management, cross-department collaboration, and clear communication with executive leadership.
• Understanding of federal, state, and private insurance regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with financial software, electronic health records, and revenue cycle management systems.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public.
• Ability to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
• Emotional maturity and ability to function effectively under stress.
