About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Echocardiography (Echo Tech) in Hilo, Hawaii. The contract duration is 26 weeks, starting on 12/14/2026. The role involves performing echocardiography in an acute care setting within a healthcare facility that utilizes Epic EMR. Weekly pay ranges from $2,366 to $2,521. The shift is rotating, with 40-hour weeks and on-call responsibilities as appropriate. There are 0 guaranteed hours per week. Onboarding requires arrival the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health clearance.

Requirements

Certification: RDCS (ARDMS or CCI) with active American Heart Association BLS.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in an acute care setting.
EMR: Proficient with Epic or able to quickly learn Epic EMR.
Ability to work in a rotating schedule and travel environment.
Must be able to participate in on-call coverage and floating as needed.
Onboarding readiness: Arrive the Thursday prior to start date for health clearance.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

Perform adult transthoracic echocardiography, including 2D, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping, and assessment of valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, and effusions.
Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEEs) as needed and support hypertensive heart disease studies.
Ensure high-quality imaging with accurate measurements; document results in the EMR and communicate findings to the cardiology team.
Operate Canon i700 and i900 equipment; maintain equipment and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Float to other departments as required and participate in on-call coverage; support daily patient care and workflow.
Arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance for onboarding.
