About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) in Olathe, Kansas. The assignment is for 13 weeks in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital EP lab setting. The role involves scrubbing and circulating EP procedures, supporting various interventions, and maintaining a safe patient environment. The facility is nicotine-free, and fast credentialing is emphasized.

Requirements

  • Active ARRT or RCIS or RCES certification
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience with scrub responsibilities
  • Experience with pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra), ablations (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC), Watchman, laser lead extractions, and stimming (Bloom) required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced EP/Cath lab environment and float to Cath/IR and EP as needed
  • Orientation and credentialing readiness; ability to complete CBC, DS, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
  • Eligible to work in the United States and able to perform duties in the listed location

Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate EP procedures in the electrophysiology lab, assisting with complex arrhythmia workups and interventions
  • Support pacemaker-related procedures (PPM, ICD, Micra), ablations (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC), Watchman implants, laser lead extractions, and related stimming activities
  • Prepare instrumentation, maintain sterile technique, manage EP lab equipment, and ensure patient and staff safety during cases
  • Monitor patients, document intra-procedural data, and support post-procedural care with the EP team
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other scrub staff; adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and hospital policies
  • Enter procedure details into the EPIC electronic medical record and assist with timely charting
