About The Position

Medical City Arlington is hiring a full-time Cardiovascular Certified Surgical Technologist for a day shift with rotating weekends. The role supports cardiac surgery as part of a skilled surgical team, using current surgical equipment to help provide safe, advanced patient care. The position includes predictable scheduling, on-call coverage support, and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include preparing the surgical suite, supporting patients before procedures, assisting surgeons during operations, monitoring equipment and patient status, maintaining the sterile field, and helping with room turnover. The technologist contributes to a collaborative team focused on safe, compassionate care.

Requirements

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Vocational school graduate, certificate, or associate degree.
No experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize the surgical suite with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for safe, efficient procedures.
Transport, position, prep, and drape patients while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety.
Scrub in and assist the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
Monitor equipment and patient status throughout procedures and take effective action when needed.
Maintain a sterile field and ensure thorough room turnover.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
