About The Position
Mission Hospital is seeking Cardiology APP candidates for both night and day shifts. This role focuses on general cardiology floor coverage, specifically for the night shift (7 PM to 7 AM). The position does not involve ICU work. The APP will be responsible for daily rounding on patients admitted to or consulted on by the general cardiology service line, writing progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, new consult notes, and discharging patients. Responsibilities also include ordering medications, tests, and procedures as indicated. The primary patient population will be on step-down and cardiology units. The APP will perform new consults with the attending MD. Support staff includes Hospitalist Medicine and Cardiology, with Pulm CC and CV Surgery providing support as needed.
Requirements
- Active NC License
- Active NC DEA
- Experienced Cardiology PA or NP
Responsibilities
- Round daily on all floor level of care patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line.
- Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, new consult notes, and discharging.
- Order medications, testing, procedures when indicated.
- Perform new consults with attending MD.
