About The Position
HealthTrust is seeking an Emergency Medicine APP for Centerpoint Medical Center MO, specifically at the ER of Independence (FSED). This is a locum tenens position to fill open APP positions due to ongoing recruitment. The facility has 10 beds including 1 trauma bay and sees approximately 80 patients per day. The patient population is mostly level 4s and 5s. This is a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center, a Level 2 trauma center. Support staff includes 24-hour physician coverage, 2-4 nurses, and 1 imaging tech 24/7. Procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and incision and drainage are required, but vent management is not. Shifts are typically morning and mid shifts, with no call coverage required.
Requirements
- NP or PA with ED experience.
- Experience with basic ER procedures: Laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage.
- Ability to complete EMR training.
- Must be available to start in September and work ongoing until recruitment is complete.
- Willingness to work all dates and times needed, including morning and mid shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably not new graduates.
Responsibilities
