About The Position

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for coverage of two Leaves of Absence (LOA) beginning in January 2027 through July 2027. The role may utilize locums providers ongoing for holidays and LOAs. This position is for inpatient cardiology work and will accept candidates for weekend-only coverage. Full-time coverage may require Critical Care experience. Acute Care Certification is not required. The provider will interview with the Lead APP and the Director of Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Providers. The hospital bed size is 128.

Requirements

• 2 years or more cardiology experience as an APP
• Board Certification: Required
• License required: Willing to License
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: APRN or NCCPA
• EMR: Epic

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care experience (may be required for full-time placement)
• Advanced Heart Failure experience

Responsibilities

• Rounding on General Cardiology patients
• Covering Critical Care patients (only if experienced)
• Rounding on Advanced Heart Failure patients (only if experienced)
• Charting to be completed by EOD each day
